Where Fred Fedeler Farm, 46119 240^th Street, Chester, SD

Mostly for your and others' safety:Do not get in front of horses -- if they bolt you could be in their path. Don't be in the standing corn near the horses, you may startle the horses. Stay behind the judges and gleaners so you don't interfere with their duties. If you want to take pictures of someone husking, perhps do it in the practice picking area.

Try Husking
- Practice in Practice Area (pick a technique that works for you and maybe Try various husking hooks and pegs)
- Competition free for age 20 and younger
- Five minute per person in three person pick class (see contest page to register)
Children and Family Games Area
- Corn box with toys and a roll each of quarters, dimes, nickles, and pennies.
- Corn husk doll making
- Ladder golf
- Corn hole
- Bocce ball

Consider Trying the Three Person Pick Three people each pick for five minutes. Registration is limited to 15 or 18 people (depending on the number of horse teams). It is free, but you must sign the registration form( includes waiver ). Registration runs later than the other classes up to the end of the 10 minute classes (sometime a little before or after noon). The composition of teams will be randomly assigned.
